Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #150

I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend, and this beautiful spring weather that we've been having.  Here in the Niagara Region its been so nice, and I am so happy to feel the warm sun on my face.

I am glad that I got some time in today to play along with this challenge because its been a while since I've had time to play along with the Merry Monday Challenge.
Fingers crossed this is the start of getting back to it, and entering every week again.

This week's challenge was a really fun one...

When I saw this challenge I knew that I had a couple awesome stamps that I could find in my collection to meet this theme.  The image that I chose is absolutely perfect for this theme, and the best part is that I've never used the stamp before (I bought it at the end of the season last year) and had so much fun playing with it for this challenge.  After picking the stamp I wanted to use scraps again to create another cute Christmas card, and I couldn't be more happy with the way the card turned out.

Here's the awesome image that I chose to use on my card this week...

Here's the front of the card...

Here's the side view of the card...

LOVE THIS CARD!  She is just the cutest!

Keep an eye open for the supplies list that will be posted shortly.  Just need to make sure that I have this card entered before the challenge closes.

Enjoy and have a Merry Merry SUNDAY!

Cupcake Inspirations #301 Challenge

Happy Weekend!  I hope that everyone has had a good week, and for those who have kids who had March/Spring Break I hope that you all got to spend some quality time with your families.  I wanted to share this card with you guys.

I played along with the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #301 and had a lot of fun with it.

Here's the inspiration photo for the Challenge:

When I saw this I knew that I had the perfect pattern paper for this challenge, and I stumbled across a fairly new stamp set (one I had never used) and knew they would work so well together for this card. I didn't get to celebrate St. Patty's this year as I was not feeling well, but was glad that this challenge at least allowed me to create something St. Patty's related.

Here's the front view of my card...

Here's the side view of my card...

I kept this card fairly simple as with the background there was already a ton going n and I really wanted the wording and the cupcake with the clover to speak for themselves and be the focus of the card.

I won't have time to link to the supplies right now but I will have them posted tomorrow at some time for sure.
I hope that you all have a great weekend and that you enjoy my card!

Stamping Bella Sketch Challenge #5

Hey there!  I wanted to participate in the challenge last week, and while I know that this post is going up late I still wanted to share it with you.  I had a couple Thank You Cards that I wanted to and needed to make and this Challenge let me do just that.

I have really been loving the sketch challenges lately, and am having so much fun seeing what I can create and come up with.

Here's the Sketch Challenge for Stamping Bella's Bellarific Friday Challenge that I played along with:

Sketch-5-mar-13 copy

In making this card I decided I was feeling like water colouring but wanted to stick with a Monochromatic theme and I could not have been more happy with the way that it turned out.

I have so many favourite stamps from Stamping Bella, however on of my most favourite ones is the one that I used on this card.  I love how versatile it is!  You can literally find a use for it for so many occasions and you can colour it so many different ways.

Here's the image that I used on the card:

Here's a side view of the card... (Here you can see the dimension that is on this card as well as the fine detail and the many layers to creating this card)

And finally here is the front view of my card...

Supplies Used

Acrylic Block - used for stamping
Mono Multi Glue - used to attach pieces together
Double Sided Tape - used to attach pieces of the card together
Foam Adhesive - used to pop the image up
Water Brush - used to colour the image
Heat Tool - used to melt the embossing powder
Top Boss - Embossing Ink for stamping the image in
Wink of Stella - used to add shimmer to the flower
Distress Inks - used to colour the flower

Sheer Ribbon - tied at the bottom of the card (cannot find a source for the exact product as it is scrap, however this is something similar)

The solid pink paper that was used in this card  is from my scrap box so unfortunately no source is available, however any pink would work if you were wanting to create a similar card.

Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #300

Hey Everyone!  It has been a while since I've been on here and have posted, and Ive been meaning to fix that, so here's a new card for you.

Cupcake Inspiration is celebrating 300 challenges and therefore has 3 different challenges to enter,  I have decided to take part in the colour challenge simply because they are colours that I rarely if ever pair together, and was wanting to challenge myself and see what I could come up with.  Sometimes I find it hard to do something new, or different...I find we stick to what we are comfortable with, and sometimes don't think outside the box to much.  I do however think that if we think outside the box we can create something beautiful and really surprise ourselves.

This is the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge that I took part in:

There is so much that you could do with this challenge.  When I saw it I knew creating a card that I could add to my stock of Birthday cards would be great.  Birthday cards are something you can never have enough of...but Birthday Cards for Boys seem to be hard to keep on hand.

So without further ado here's stye front of the card

Here is the image that I selected...I think he is just the cutest

Heres the side view of the card

Because I can never have enough cards for boys, and like to stock pile cards, I decided to use the scraps that I had to create a couple of the same card

I am pretty proud of this card...I inked the background with a stencil and a couple different colours distress inks, and I love how it turned out!

Supplies

Acrylic Block - tool used for stamping
Paper Trimmer - used to cut the paper
Black Ink - used to stamp the image and sentiment
Letraset Promarkers - used to colour the image
Birthday Monkey - main image on the card
It's Your Birthday - stamp set that the sentiment came from
Stencil - used to ink the background for the card
Distress Ink - used to ink the stencil with for the background
Ribbon - Offray Turquoise
Ribbon - Offray Forest Green
Tags -  used 3 sizes to make the main tag
Circle Dies - used to stamp and matt the sentiment on
Double Sided Tape - used to attach everything together
Foam Adhesive - used to pop the monkey up off the paper
Wink of Stella - used to add shimmer to the bottom of the cupcakes
Glossy Accents - used to add shine to the candy ontop of the cupcake

The coloured Paper (green and blue) are from my stash of scraps, so unfortunately there isn't a link for them.  I think they could be from those Michael's packages of paper.

I hope that you guys enjoy the card, and I will see you all again really soon!
