December 2017 ATC

Goodmorning Everyone!
I am back again, and I am loving spending every morning with you!  Thinking I will make a habit of this!

For those of you who are crafters, you know that most of us are starting to think about getting started (if we haven't already) making our Christmas Cards and Tags.  I haven't quite gotten there, however as we begin to move that way I thought it would be the perfect time to share with you my December ATC from last Christmas because I am behind.  I am thrilled how this turned out.

Most of the time I usually have an image or a die that I really want to use, and then I build the card or ATC around it, however this time I did it different and had the paper that I wanted to use.  The papers for these ATCs are scraps that I had from a past project and I really wanted to use them.  Once I had created the backgrounds the I played with my cricut machine (which I don't do often enough), and am loving this cute little guy that I cut out.

Here's the front of the view of the ATC...

November 2017 ATC

Hello Ya'll!
Here we are on Day 3!  I am so excited to be on here posting more frequently, and I will continue to do so, and eventually it's going to become habit.  I am not sure how many people actually follow my posts but it doesn't seem to matter at all.  If you are here, then please leave me some love below in the comment section, and let me know what you are hoping for more of!

Today I am sharing with you a November ATC that I had made last year for the group that I am in.  If you aren't sure what ATCs are I explained them in one of my latest posts.

I purchased this stamp because it LOVED the look of it, and the way that it could be used for things beyond Remembrance Day (here in Canada)!  I didn't do very much in way of a background because I felt as though the stamp should be the main focus, and that it was enough all on its own!  It must also have been made on a day that I was feeling like colouring, and playing, and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Here's a view of the front of the ATC...

Here's a view of the side of the ATC...this should show you some dimension...

Supplies Used

Paper Trimmer - used to cut out the ATC base
Tim Holtz Scissors - used to cut out the sentiment and the sentiment mat
Acrylic Block - used to attach the stamp to assist with stamping the image

Label Maker - used for the sentiment
Black Gems - used to help embellish the front of the ATC
White Cardstock - used for the ATC base.
Red Cardstock - scraps used for the background on the label sentiments (not an exact product link as I used scraps, but linked to something similar)

Bridesmaid Wedding Request

Hey Everyone!  I hope that everyone's week is off to a good start! I thought that the weekends were for recovering and relaxing, but somehow mine aren't at all like that.

This past weekend I went to a friends house, and enjoyed some card making time with her.  It's been close to 3 years since we've had a chance to do this, and hopefully this is just the start of card making together again.  I spent a lot of time colouring, so am very excited to start assembling the cards!

Anyways, I am back to share something new with you!  When I say something new I don't just mean a new card that I created, but I mean this was NEW for me.  I have NEVER created a card like this in all my years of card making, and I was honoured to have been asked to create this for a friend to help her ask people to be in her wedding.

She her only request for this card was that the sentiment be the one that she sent me and that the colours be yellow and black (Hufflepuff colours).  Skies the limit right?
This in itself I found fairly challenging, so I took to my Photoshop program, and started playing around and I came up with this really cute image.  I decided that I was happy with it, but that was only half the battle.  The other challenge was to make sure she like it, which thankfully she was in LOVE with what I had created.

This is a one of a kind card.  I did not create a second one of this, just the one that she's given to her Bridesmaid!

Here's the front view of the card that I created for her bridesmaid...

Here's the side view of the card that I created for her bridesmaid...

September 2017 ATC

Hi Ya'll!  I know that I have been away for a very long time, however it's been a very interesting couple months.  I won't bore you with the finer details, however in the last couple months we've welcomed a new baby into the family...not mine, but I've got a brand new nephew!  Labour and delivery was a challenge for my sister, so we have been picking up the pieces and spending more time with my 28 month old niece to do our best to help out.  During my time away from my blog we've done some traveling (most recently to Nashville).  I've been doing some massive physio for my vertigo, and it seems like it's FINALLY under control, so I will be able to sit and blog again without feeling like I'm on a boat!

I cannot tell you how excited I am to be back with you!

For those of you who are new to my blog usually I don't take the time to go through the process step by step, as often it happens over several sittings.  I don't mind answering any questions with regards to the process privately if you wish to talk about it.  Also below I do my absolute best to link to as many products as possible.  If the products are no longer available, then I will note this, and will link to a substitution if I know of one.  Some of the products that I use are scraps (which is often the case with ATCs like this one, so I may not know the exact product, but I will do my best to link to something similar.)

I am behind posting so much, but I thought that I would start with posting some of my 2017 ATCs that I haven't shared with you yet.  For those of you who don't know what ATCs are there are not honestly very many rules to creating them.  The only concrete rule is that they are 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches.  Everything else is up to you!  When I create mine I tend to really pull my inspiration from either the time of year or the holiday and season that is upon us.  Generally I make one a month, and I am in a group where we trade with one another.  Basically once you receive one in the mail from someone, you are responsible for returning mail to them with a new ATC.

Because I live in Canada usually September is back to school for all the little ones, so I thought that I would create my ATC with this in mind.  I had a pattern paper that I was really wanting to use, so this provided the PERFECT opportunity to do this.  I should also mention that usually I create 10 of the same ATC, however sometimes the colour combinations of scrap papers differ between them, and I usually intend to use up scraps, and this is an amazing chance to do so.

Here is the front view of my September ATC...

Here is the side view of my September ATC...

He or She? What will the baby be?

Hey Everyone!  This is a very special post for me.  One of my really good friends is having a baby!  I was so excited to be asked to put together a couple of things for her reveal party.
I think she would agree with me...some of the coolest things are the little hand made touches that add to special moments like this.
I made 3 different things, however I will only feature 2 in this post as I totally forgot to take pictures of the 3rd thing.

She had bowls with M & Ms and she had asked me to put together a couple little onesies to tell people what kind of M & Ms they were.  The wording was quite clever too...YAY Pinterest win for the idea, but I executed this one all by myself!

The second thing that she had wanted was that she wanted something that her guests could guess the gender, birth date and weight of the baby.  I thought that It would be cute to stick with the same onesie theme and the same pattern papers, and these came about because of this...

Guesses for a Baby Boy...Front and Back

Guesses for a Baby Girl... Front and Back

All Guessing Cards...(20 total - 10 of each)

Supplies Used

Paper Trimmer - used to cut the paper down to size

Tim Holtz Scissors - used to cut down the ribbon used for the bow-tie
Glue Dots - used to attach the bow-tie to the front of the onesie

Blue Offray Ribbon - little scrap piece used for the bow-tie
Silver Gems - gems used for the embellishment on the front of the girls onesie
Black Letters - used for the letters on the front which say "nuts?/no nuts?" (this is not an identical product, but I linked to something similar as I couldn't find the exact product)
MFT Baby Onesie Die  - used to cut out the
White Card Stock - paper that the guesses were printed on, as well as the in between pieces used to help make the onesies thicker
Pattern Papers - the white and pink and the blue and white card stock (pattern papers) were in my drawer of assorted random paper (so I don't know where this paper came from - there are lots of other  papers that you could use if you were looking to recreate this)

The words were printed on the computer, and I configured them in a word document.  Then I cut them out with the die cut and the cuttle bug, and attached them with the pattern paper on the back.

LOVE How these turned out!  Would love to know your thoughts?  Leave some comment love before and check back very soon for some more unique and new designs!

I designed this ATC back last August for the group that I trade these with.  I wanted to do something bright, but very simple and clean/classic.  I used very minimal supplies which was fun, and worked on using up some scraps of string that I had laying around.

October 2017 ATC

Hi Everyone!  I am back again to share with you another ATC.  If you have no idea what ATCs are, you should check out my last post for a run down on what they are, and why they are something Im creating.

I designed these ATCs for October 2017.  Like I said in my last post I am a little behind posting, however I guess better late than never.  I am very excited to be getting back on track, and I promise I will do better.

I have a TON of stamps that I have never used...this is the amazing thing and yet the sad result of late night shopping sprees.  One of the things that I wanted to work on is to dig out some of the stamps that have never had the chance of being the focal point on a card, and give it its moment.  I know that some of the stamps could be discontinued, or not available at this point, but I still think its important to give it its moment.

Here are the 3 different ATCs that I made for October 2017.

Supplies Used

Paper Trimmer - used to cut the background paper as well as the orange paper that the sentiment is on
Tim Holtz Scissors - used to fussy cut out the images of the pumpkins and animals.

Prisma Colour Pencil Crayons - used to colour the images with

Blending Stumps - used with the blending solution to blend the coloured pencils together

Water Colour Card Stock - used to stamp the images on.  This paper helps with the blending of the pencil crayons and works well with the blending solution.
White Card Stock - used to attach the pattern paper to for the ATC base
All Season's Paper II - used for the base of the ATC (purchased this product at Hobby Lobby - cannot find a link for this product)

July ATC 2017

Hi Everyone!  You know how life gets busy sometimes and throws you curve balls.  Well it has seemed like one curveball after another, but I am back and ready to share some new stuff with you.  I will also be posting a couple of things that I had made in the past, but again didn't get a chance to share with you.

For those of you who follow my blog you should know by now that I am part of an ATC group that I trade with.  For those of you who don't, and who don't know what an ATC card is let me quickly explain.

ATCs are 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches.  There really aren't any rules to them.  You can paper piece, die cut, stamp, use mixed media techniques, etc.  The only rule is the size....seriously no rules about themes or anything.  In the group the only other rule is that once you receive an ATC you have to send one back to that person.  Even if they send you 2 you only have to send 1.

This is the ATC that I had made this past July.

Supplies Used

Paper Trimmer - used to cut the base of the ATC and the sentiment and the mat for the sentiment
Double Sided Tape - used to attach the sentiment to the background of the ATC.
Candied Apple Distress Ink - used to stamp the maple leafs in
Fired Brick Distress Ink - used to stamp the maple leafs in
Black MFT Ink - used to stamp the sentiment in
Acrylic Block - used to attach the maple leaf to, to help with the stamping.
#proudcanuck stamp - sentiment used on this ATC.  (purchased from Michael's Canada in the $1.50 bins - no link available for this product)
Hero Arts Leaf Stamps - used for the maple leaf on the ATC background.
Shimmer Mist - used to add shimmer to the background  (although this picture doesn't show this very well)
White Card Stock - used for the background for this ATC
Red Card Stock - used to back the sentiment with to pull in the red colours even more

I will be back very soon with another ATC to share with you.  Once I have updated all of my ATCs I will get caught up on sharing my cards!

I appreciate all of your love and support.  Please comment below and leave me some love!

January ATC 2018

Hey Everyone!  I am so glad to be back with you all to share another ATC.
When I first started ATCs just a little over a year ago I wanted to try something different.
I have been loving being part of the ATC group that I am in and forcing myself to create something small, and use some of the little stamps that I have and recycling a lot of scrap papers, etc.
I am here to share my January ATC with you.  I was a little delinquent in getting all of mine done for 2017, but the beauty about a new year is new beginnings and new starts.
I am determined to do one for each month this year!  So far I'm not off to a bad start.

If you follow my blog you will know that I struggle to make anything with gold.  I just find it a hard colour to work with, especially if I am using golds of different mediums.  But gold seemed like a great colour for New Years, so I thought that I try again.

Here's the front of the ATC...

...this was incredibly difficult to photograph to show how shiny the whole thing was...

Here's a side view of the ATC...

...the side view shows how beautiful the paper on this ATC is...
