Christmas Card Challenges #11

Happy Weekend!  I hope that you all have a fabulous weekend and get to spend some time relaxing and enjoying the company of friends and family.
I just thought before the weekend that I would share another card with you all.
I entered another Christmas challenge this week.  I am really enjoying watching my stash of Christmas Cards growing and am happy to have some beautiful ones to pass out to friends and family this coming Christmas.

This week over at Christmas Card Challenges the theme and inspiration photo was a snowman.  I haven't made a card with snowman in quite a while, so I jumped at the chance to play along with the challenge.

Here's the Challenge/Inspiration Photo:

I had so many stamps that would have been totally appropriate for this weeks theme and I settled on a stamp that I haven't used before.
This is the 2nd time that I have played along with the Christmas Card Challenges, and both times I was able to use product that I owned but never played with before.
I cannot wait to see what I get to play with next week...but for this week here is the card.
I also thought I should mention that I made 2 of these cards that way my stash of Christmas cards grows more rapidly.

Here's a photo of  the image all coloured:
I decided to colour this card with mostly traditional colours and love the end result...

Here's a picture of the completed card:

Here's a picture of the side view of the card:

I once again used quite a bit of scrap product, and continue to surprise myself with how many cards I can make with pieces of paper left over, shapes cut out and laying around, different lengths of ribbon/string that has been cut and wasn't used.  Its amazing how great you end up feeling when you know you are using up materials you own already and the beautiful cards that are the result of that

Supplies Used

Acrylic Block - used to attach the cling stamp to and stamp image
Paper Trimmer - used to cut paper down
Black Ink - used to ink stamp with and stamp image and sentiment in

The pattern paper is from a retired Recollection Paperpack so unfortunately I wasnt able to locate a source.  The red paper I used as well as the shimmer paper used for the snowflakes were scraps so I don't have a source for them either.  Sorry :(
