Fifty and Fabulous

Goodmorning Everyone!  I hope that you all have a beautiful day!  The sun is shining here and it looks like its going to be a fabulous start to the long weekend.  I hope that you get to enjoy time with your loved ones and the little ones enjoy the Easter festivities.

I am almost all caught up with my posts, but today I am back to share with you another Birthday card.  This card was ordered for a very special birthday and I was super happy to be asked to create it for her.  It was a nice chance to work with a colour scheme I haven't worked with before, and use a couple of products that I haven't used in the past.  The colours on this card are incredible, and it is so CLASSY and fancy for such a special occasion. I am soooooo happy with how this card turned out, the only thing I would change is the colour of the paint splatter to match the pattern paper, or vice versa.

Supplies Used

Paper Trimmer - used to cut the card front and the pattern paper
Tim Holtz Scissors - used to fussy cut out the roses for this card
Double Sided Tape - used to attach the striped paper to the card base
Mono Multi Glue - used to attach the sentiment and the flowers to the card front
Water Brush - used to blend the markers
Bone Folder - used to fold and crease the card front
Exacto Knife - used to help position the gems on the card front
Brush - used with the acrylic paint to splatter the paint
Acrylic Block - used to attach the rose stamp to in order to aid the stamping
Cuttlebug Machine - used to cut out the sentiment and the mat of the sentiment
Spellbinders Labels Twenty Die - Used to cut out the sentiment and the mat for the sentiment
MFT Black Ink - used to stamp the flowers in 
Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers - used to colour the flowers with and 
1000LL Roses Stamp - flowers used for this card
Icicle Stickles - used to add shimmer to the roses
Gems - used to help embellish the card front
Gold Acrylic Paint - used to splatter on the background paper 
Gold Shimmer Cardstock - used to mat the sentiment on the card front
White Cardstock - used for the card base
Striped Cardstock - used for the background of the card front (piece from my scrap so I don't have a link to it)
